How do I install the extension?
There's a step-by-step guide at clickroles.com/welcome — it detects the extension automatically, so you can see it working rather than guessing. You'll need to be signed in.
The Save button doesn't appear on a job listing
The button appears on its own on eleven boards: LinkedIn, Indeed, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, SmartRecruiters, Wellfound, Dice, Glassdoor and ZipRecruiter. Nowhere else does the extension load by itself, so nowhere else does a button appear on its own.
On a company careers page, open the extension's popup on the posting and press Scan this page. It reads the listing from that one tab and offers the same Save.
On a supported board, check that you're signed in to ClickRoles in another tab, then reload the listing. Some boards render the job panel after the page reports itself loaded, so a save attempted in the first second can land before the details exist.

A saved job is missing its description, or the description is cut off
A few boards only load the full description after you click "See more". Expand it first, then save, and the complete text comes across with its original formatting.
If a field is still wrong after that, send us the job URL. Each board is read by its own extractor, and layouts change without warning — a broken URL is the fastest way for us to fix it.

Can the extension see my other browsing?
No. It loads itself only on those eleven job boards and on clickroles.com, and nowhere else. The one other address it holds standing access to is not a site you visit: ClickRoles' own API host at Supabase (the project's
*.supabase.co origin), which it talks to in order to save a job and read your profile. That is the app's own backend. Three smaller things go to clickroles.com: a one-line record that a save happened, carrying the listing's address; a request for the match score when you open a listing you already saved, naming that application; and a report that a field failed to extract, which carries the board's name and no address at all. The first two are sent as you and concern jobs already in your board. Nothing else leaves, and the full list is in our privacy policy. On any other page it acts only when you open its popup and press Scan or Autofill, and Chrome then grants it that one tab until you navigate away. All of that is enforced by Chrome rather than promised by us, and you can review it under the extension's permissions.Signing in
My confirmation email never arrived
Check spam first — the message comes from
If you already have an account with that address, no new email is sent. That's deliberate: it stops anyone using the signup form to discover which addresses are registered. Try signing in or resetting your password instead.

The link in my email says it's expired, but I never used it
Confirmation and reset links can only be used once. Some corporate mail systems open links automatically to scan them, which can consume the link before you click it. Request a fresh one and it will work.
AI scoring
The "Score all jobs against primary resume" button is greyed out
You need one resume marked as primary. Open Documents, choose the resume you want compared against every job, and mark it primary — the button enables immediately.
I've run out of AI actions
The free plan includes 10 AI actions a month. Everything else — saving jobs, the board, list, calendar and analytics — is unlimited and always free. Pro raises the allowance to 100 AI actions a day.
I'm on Pro and I hit a daily AI limit
Pro includes 100 AI actions a day. It is a fair-use limit rather than a ration: it exists so a runaway script or a compromised login can't spend an unbounded amount on your account, and a normal search day is nowhere near it — scoring every new job, drafting a few emails and tailoring a couple of resumes is usually under twenty.
It resets at midnight UTC. We are told automatically when someone reaches it, so you may hear from us first; either way, email support@clickroles.com and we will raise your ceiling. We would rather do that than have you waiting.

I deleted some scored jobs and my used actions didn't go back down
That's intentional. Usage is counted from a ledger of AI runs, not from the jobs they were run against, so deleting a job doesn't refund the action it used. Otherwise the monthly limit could be reset at will by deleting and re-saving.
The stored result is cleared 30 days after you delete the job; only the accounting record remains.

A score or cover letter mentions something that isn't in my resume
It shouldn't — the AI is constrained to evidence it can quote from your resume and the job description, and unsupported claims are dropped before you see them. If something invented does get through, please send it to us. That's a bug we want to know about, not a quirk to work around.
Billing and your account
I paid but my account still shows the free plan
Payment confirmation reaches us a moment after Stripe takes it. Refresh the billing page after ten or twenty seconds and it should update. If it still hasn't after a few minutes, email us — include the address you paid with and we'll correct it from our side.
How do I cancel?
Billing → Manage subscription opens the Stripe portal, where you can cancel in one step. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for. No retention maze, no email required.
How do I export or delete my data?
Settings → Danger zone. Download your data gives you everything you've saved as a JSON file. Delete account removes your account, every application, note and uploaded file, and cancels any active subscription — immediately and permanently, with no recovery. Export first if you might want it.
Still stuck?
Include the email address on your account, and — if it's about a specific job — the listing URL. It saves a round trip and usually means we can answer with a fix rather than a question.
